W projekcie dotyczącym nieśmiertelności, który rozwijam od 2017 roku, zawsze coś się dzieje.

Zwłaszcza w technologii. Ale podkreślam — to projekt o nas i dla nas. Dla tych, którzy chcą pozostać ludźmi i żyć dalej w takim świecie, w jakim żyliśmy dotąd. Tyle że za, symboliczne, 10 000 lat. Gdy startowałem z tym projektem, pojęcie osobliwości technologicznej czy nawet samej sztucznej inteligencji było dość rzadko spotykane. Obecnie sytuacja zmieniła się zupełnie. Takich ludzi i grup powielających ten pomysł będzie coraz więcej. Bo lepiej już widać możliwości. I tak ma być. Nieśmiertelność „Zrób to sam” (DIY Immortality) stanie się znacznym, ale rozproszonym ruchem. Choć większość zawierzy korporacjom, które wkrótce zaoferują podobne rozwiązania na podstawie swoich, już rozwijanych technologii.

Nazywa się to często cyfrową nieśmiertelnością, ale raczej unikam tego określenia, bo kojarzy się z przenoszeniem umysłu do komputera (mind upload) czy do komputera z ciałem — robota.
Wolę Nieśmiertelność „Zrób to sam”. Czy może znajdzie się jakieś lepsze, krótkie określenie na odtworzenie się w przyszłości takimi, jakimi jesteśmy. Może po prostu — REITION.

In the immortality project that I have been developing since 2017, something is always happening.

Especially in technology. But I emphasize — this is a project about us and for us. For those who want to remain human and continue living in the kind of world we have lived in so far. Except, symbolically, 10,000 years from now. And technology alone will not be able to take us there. What will take us there is the desire to remain human, mutual aid, and insuring one another. And the world we knew is disappearing faster and faster.

When I started this project, the concept of technological singularity, or even artificial intelligence itself, was quite rarely encountered. Today, the situation has changed completely. There will be more and more people and groups replicating this idea. Because the possibilities are already becoming clearer. And that is how it should be. “Do It Yourself” Immortality (DIY Immortality) will become a significant but decentralized movement. Although most people will put their trust in corporations, which will soon offer similar solutions based on technologies they are already developing.

This is often called digital immortality, but I tend to avoid that term because it is associated with transferring the mind into a computer (mind upload) or into a computer with a body — a robot.
I prefer “Do It Yourself” Immortality. Perhaps there is some better, short term for recreating ourselves in the future as we are. Maybe simply — REITION.

Dans le projet consacré à l’immortalité, que je développe depuis 2017, il se passe toujours quelque chose.

Surtout dans le domaine de la technologie. Mais je le souligne — c’est un projet sur nous et pour nous. Pour ceux qui veulent rester humains et continuer à vivre dans un monde tel que celui dans lequel nous avons vécu jusqu’à présent. Sauf que ce sera, symboliquement, dans 10 000 ans. Et la technologie seule ne pourra pas nous y transporter. Ce qui nous y transportera, c’est la volonté de rester humains, l’entraide et le fait de nous assurer mutuellement. Et le monde que nous connaissions disparaît de plus en plus vite.

Lorsque j’ai lancé ce projet, la notion de singularité technologique, ou même celle d’intelligence artificielle elle-même, était assez rarement rencontrée. Aujourd’hui, la situation a complètement changé. Il y aura de plus en plus de personnes et de groupes qui reprendront cette idée. Car les possibilités sont déjà plus visibles. Et c’est ainsi que cela doit être. L’immortalité « Faites-le vous-même » (DIY Immortality) deviendra un mouvement important mais dispersé. Même si la majorité fera confiance aux entreprises, qui proposeront bientôt des solutions similaires fondées sur leurs propres technologies déjà en cours de développement.

On appelle souvent cela l’immortalité numérique, mais j’évite plutôt cette expression, car elle est associée au transfert de l’esprit dans un ordinateur (mind upload) ou dans un ordinateur doté d’un corps — un robot.

Für diejenigen, die Menschen bleiben und weiterhin in einer solchen Welt leben wollen, wie wir bisher gelebt haben. Nur eben, symbolisch gesehen, in 10.000 Jahren. Und allein die Technologie wird uns nicht dorthin bringen können. Dorthin bringen werden uns der Wunsch, Menschen zu bleiben, gegenseitige Hilfe und die gegenseitige Absicherung. Und die Welt, die wir kannten, verschwindet immer schneller.

Als ich mit diesem Projekt begann, war der Begriff der technologischen Singularität oder sogar der künstlichen Intelligenz selbst noch relativ selten anzutreffen. Heute hat sich die Situation völlig verändert. Es wird immer mehr Menschen und Gruppen geben, die diese Idee aufgreifen. Denn die Möglichkeiten werden bereits deutlicher sichtbar. Und so soll es sein. Die „Do-it-yourself“-Unsterblichkeit (DIY Immortality) wird zu einer bedeutenden, aber dezentralen Bewegung werden. Obwohl die Mehrheit den Konzernen vertrauen wird, die bald ähnliche Lösungen auf der Grundlage ihrer bereits entwickelten Technologien anbieten werden.

Когда я начинал этот проект, понятие технологической сингулярности или даже самого искусственного интеллекта встречалось довольно редко. Сейчас ситуация полностью изменилась. Таких людей и групп, повторяющих эту идею, будет становиться всё больше. Потому что возможности уже видны лучше. И так и должно быть. Бессмертие «Сделай сам» (DIY Immortality) станет значительным, но децентрализованным движением. Хотя большинство доверится корпорациям, которые вскоре предложат похожие решения на основе своих уже развиваемых технологий.

Это часто называют цифровым бессмертием, но я стараюсь избегать этого термина, потому что он ассоциируется с переносом разума в компьютер (mind upload) или в компьютер с телом — робота.
